Thomas Mentor Leadership Academy (TMLA) is a 501(c3) nonprofit group mentoring organization. Our mission is to guide males between the ages of 9 and 18 who are being raised by a single parent, single legal guardian or their grandparent(s) into mentoring relationships. (Must be enrolled between the ages of 9 and 14).   We focus on education, decision making, conflict resolution, respect for self and others, and service to the community.   Thomas Mentor Leadership Academy provides young males with purpose, motivation and direction by encouraging them to choose alternative methods to at-risk behaviors.We also provide mentor training and workshops to organizations and groups to support mentors and mentoring programs.


Services Provided:

Life Skills: • Curriculum “DARE TO BE KING” • Curriculum “THE KING INSIDE” • Respect for themselves and others • Respect for those in leadership/authority • Team building, Critical thinking and Decision Making • Community service projects • Bullying and Substance Abuse prevention • Peer pressure strategies, Decision Making

Academic Support: • Leadership Training • Tutoring and homework support • School visits & Teacher Conferences • College, Career and Military options • Parent conferences

Social Support: • Loving, caring and nurturing environment • Empowerment Group & Workshops for Parents • Field Trips
