Join AnimalKind as we Jog for the Paws during the Great Human Race!
Saturday, March 23th The Volunteer Center of Durham is holding it’s 20th annual Great Human Race. The Great Human Race is a 5K competitive run and community walk that supports area nonprofits.
AnimalKind is participating for it’s second year and has set a fundraising goal of $6,000! This goal will help us extend our programs and outreach methods.

AnimalKind’s mission is to end the unnecessary euthanasia of adoptable cats and dogs in NC shelters.
AnimalKind’s programs target low-income pet owners and assist them financially with spay/neuter surgeries. We also coordinate a low-cost spay/neuter transport, as well as provide a free referral service that is available to anyone in North Carolina. This service helps residents locate reduced-cost spay/neuter services in their particular area of the state.
We hope to broaden our approach to ending unnecessary euthanasia by adding an education component, a “sponsor a pet” platform to our website, and increase on-the-ground outreach in low-income/high animal intake neighborhoods.
We would appreciate your support in helping North Carolina reach the day when no adoptable cats or dogs are euthanized. Your contribution, whether monetary, or in joining our fundraising team will be targeting the source of pet overpopulation and unnecessary euthanasia in North Carolina.
