The Triangle Nonprofit & Volunteer Leadership Center
I joined the Volunteer Center because of all of the great work that they do in the community. Most nonprofits provide services to a select group in the community. The Volunteer Center has a much larger reach than most organizations because they provide support to so many organizations throughout the triangle area. My goal is to touch the lives of many by getting involved and doing my part.
The Volunteer Center's GREAT HUMAN RACE is a 5k run and community walk that supports area nonprofits. This unique fundraising event:
- supports hundreds of nonprofits, schools, and faith-based groups
- provides an opportunity for any nonprofit agency to raise money for their own organization
- enables businesses and individuals to support the nonprofit of their choice
- has raised over $2 million since 1996
