South of the Bully is a volunteer-run organization helping to find good homes for hundreds of pit bull and pit bull mixes that fill our shelters. Because owners don't spay or neuter these dogs, there are more of them in shelters than any other breed. I have fostered three sweet puppies that will all soon live in their forever homes. Making this happen takes a lot of tireless hours by volunteers: potential fosters must be interviewed, adoption applications must be evaluated, home visits are made, transportation is provided from shelters all over the state to foster homes, medical facilities and eventually forever homes. Adoption events are organized and run. Medical treatment is administered. When foster homes cannot be found, the animals are boarded temporarily. It is a huge organization of caring humans who can use your help to pay for the medical treatment these animals require. Please consider making a donation to this worthy cause. In honor of Sully (Harbin), Cheyenne and Skye, I am running in the Great Human Race and raising money for this cause.
