I am fund raising for NC Rail-Trails so we can help communities in North Carolina protect abandoned rail corridors and convert them to bicycle and hiking trails for public use. These corridors are a great resource that will be lost forever if we do not protect them now.

I am a Charlotte board member of Durham-based NC Rail-Trails but I have to be working out of state on the day of the GREAT HUMAN RACE in Durham. In my place, my son Ben Shaver is going to run the 5K race on April 6 for NC Rail-Trails. Thank you Ben!
