Faith Worship Center of Durham
I am a proud member of Faith Worship Center of Durham, a non-denominational Christian church conveniently located off highways 70 and 98 in southeast Durham, only a short drive from Brier Creek, Duke University, downtown Durham and RTP. At Faith Worship Center our mission is to embrace and communicate with all people in our community and beyond about the life-changing power of Jesus Christ; to declare to all that without the application of the blood of Jesus on our lives that there is no other way for eternal life; to tell all people that we stand for the Holy Bible which we believe is the one and true Word of God and to equip all believers with the power of His Word in an understandable yet powerful format. We want to be a safe haven for those in the storm and to be a light for all to see in a world that is filled with darkness.
I welcome you to join us every Sunday for Sunday School at 9:45am and Worship Service at 10:45am, and for Bible study every Wednesday evening at 7pm. Our worship services are led by Pastor Jay Pegram who preaches the Word of God, as led by the Holy Spirit, in a way that touches all ages. His high energy, passion and unique style capture the congregation's attention from the first word of his sermon to the last; many have said it's impossible not to be blessed by Pastor Jay's sermons.
In addition to these regular worship services, we also have active ministries for youth of all ages, college age & young adults, adults and seniors that provide wonderful opportunities to fellowship while serving our Lord. We are blessed with a very talented Praise & Worship team comprised of singers and musicians of all ages, including two drummers as young as 12 (my daughter Alyeska!) and 16. Seasonally, we also have opportunities for recreational and social fellowship through such programs as a bowling league, Vacation Bible School, Spring Fling & Fall Festival activities, group outings to faith based concerts, youth lock-ins, Valentines & Christmas banquets, fundraisers, Kings Dominion trips, Trunk-or-Treat and Easter Egg hunts. There is something here for everyone, and I hope you will join me one Sunday to see what the excitement is all about and discover why at FWC we say that the first time you vist you are our guest, but after that, you are family!
