The Becker-Dreps family is walking in a 5K to raise money for our favorite nonprofit, the Ellerbe Creek Watershed Association on April 30th, 2016.

Chris likes ECWA because it is helping to protect special places along the creek, Thomas likes it because it protects fish, Sophia likes the Beaver Queen Pageant, Eva likes LocoPops, and Sylvia likes that it keeps me busy!





ECWA accomplishments:

• We've protected 345 acres of land and created public preserves where people need it most: right in urban Durham.

• Over the years, we have held hundreds of workdays with thousands of volunteers cleaning up trash and restoring native plants.

• We restore clean water through innovative technical projects like rain gardens and larger restorations.

• We connect Durham to creek by creating a network of preserves and trails, hosting nature hikes, and organizing workdays and clean-ups.
