The Downtown Durham Rotary Club was organized in November 1915 as the first civic club in Durham and is now the largest Rotary Club in North Carolina. The downtown club meets each Monday at 12:30 pm at the PNC suite on the Club Level of the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. 
 
Some of the Durham Rotary Clubs key programs include: 
 
- Support of Rotary International’s Polio Plus Campaign to eliminate polio 

- Support of Durham Families and Children
     Annual Scholarships for students in need
     Reading Rangers program
     Take a Kid to the Ballgame
     Alzheimer’s Caregivers Appreciation Lunch
    “Fill the Bus” campaign (for school supplies) 

-Salvation Army Support- Volunteer Corps of bell-ringers for Annual Red Kettle campaign 

- Habitat for Humanity support- Assist in the construction of Habitat for Humanity homes as well as financial       
  support of this program 

Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards, and help to build goodwill and peace in the world.
