Can you imagine not being able to read a medicine label, a bus schedule or a job application?  Sadly, 20% of Durham County residents are functionally illiterate.  But you can make a difference!  Please support the Durham Literacy Center by sponsoring me in the Great Human Race.  As President of the Board of this wonderful organization, I can attest to its efficacy and importance.  Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend the race itself, but I will walk every step with my DLC friends in spirit!
