Durham Community Preschool has truly been the community we needed after our big move and a lot of changes. Addie loves seeing her friends, and playing on the playground in the sand/mud and looking for bugs. Rowan doesn't attend yet, but she loves DCP too. She goes right into big sister's class and sits down at the art or play dough table with the big kids.

DCP is a little school doing BIG things! As a non-profit DCP is always in need of funds for upgrades, teacher trainings, and other enrichment materials and activities. On April 22nd, DCP is participating in our first Great Human Race in hopes of earning some of that much needed money. Please support us and Addie (and really, Mommy's sanity) by making a donation to help us reach (or surpass!) our fundraising goal of $250!

Durham Community Preschool (DCP) is a half-day, play-based, non-profit preschool committed to serving families of every race, ethnicity, religion, family structure, and background. We provide high-quality, nurturing care in an atmosphere that teaches our children to participate in and care for their greater community.

We are thrilled to be participating in our very first Great Human Race and have set our fundraising goal at $3000.  In order to meet this goal, we are asking for sponsorships from DCP families, friends, and community donors. Each dollar that DCP raises from the Great Human Race will be used to support our teachers, our classrooms, and our kids!  

There are several ways your donations will be used to improve our program.  Our wish-list includes:

Books ($2+ per item)
New bookshelves ($100+ each)
Multicultural dolls for each classroom ($150/set)
New flooring for our infant room ($600)
Math manipulative kits ($150/set)
Outdoor play equipment ($5+ per item)
Art easels & painting supplies ($100/set)
Staff training texts ($300)
Updates to our “sand café” and gardening area ($100+ each)
