Carolina Tiger Rescue is the only federally defined Wildcat Sanctuary in North Carolina.  We are home to 41 animals most of which were rescued from unsuitable homes.  Some of our animals were privately owned pets who no longer could be cared for or were no longer wanted; some of our animals were rescued from roadside zoos that were closed down due to inhumane conditions of the animals and unsafe conditions for visitors; and still some were rescued from failing rescues who became financially unable to care for the animals in their care.  Every animal has their own story and every animal deserves the best life possible.  Here at Carolina Tiger Rescue our first and foremost priortity is the animals wellbeing and comfort.
