About A Hidden Gem:
A Hidden Gem is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that was started to help victims of domestic violence survive outside of the life they know as physical, mental and emotional abuse. Our Durham, North Carolina based organization was started by a Durham native and a Domestic Violence survivor in 2014 to work with other organizations that support children and women and to end the violence.
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to empower, educate and support those who are and have been victims of domestic violence. To empower the mothers to protect the lives of their children and take back their lives, one day, one tear, one bruise at a time.
