Support our postsecondary work-study students

The Achievement Academy differs from most GED programs in its commitment to helping students make a successful transition to and persevere in postsecondary study.

Central to this commitment is our Achievement University Work-Study program. In this program, our college students undergo training as literacy tutors and can then be employed part time at AAD. This allows us to monitor their progress, offer academic and personal support on a regular basis, reduce the financial instability that so often leads students to drop out, and have some excellent peer role models on site everyday.

We’re ready to start expanding this program into a broader range of occupational areas and need your help to pay for training and student stipends.
