ADF’s mission as a service organization is to commission and present both established and emerging modern dance choreographers, to train young dancers by a distinguished faculty, advance public appreciation of modern dance through various educational programs, and to provide an accessible history of the art form via continuous additions to ADF’s archives dating back to its founding in 1934. 

Augustine Literacy Project of the Triangle

The Augustine Literacy Project trains and supports volunteer tutors who provide free, long-term, one-to-one instruction, to improve the literacy skills of economically disadvantaged children.

Durham Center for Senior Life (DCSL) is an independent, non-profit organization designated by the State of North Carolina as a Center of Excellence. Our mission is, "to enhance the lives of older adults through education, recreation, nutrition and social services in welcoming community settings." We believe that older adults are a growing valuable community resource and are entitled to quality services to maintain a healthy and active life.
