Unforeseen financial emergencies are a key reason why students drop out of school. Durham Tech is one of fourty-three community colleges nationwide chosen to administer Dreamkeepers, a program that helps students facing short-term, unforeseen emergencies by providing much-needed financial assistance, along with financial planning tools and access to other local, state, and federal resources.
Less than $500 can make the difference between earning a degree and dropping out. Sometimes students, especially community college students, are hit with an unexpected life situation that causes a financial strain so severe they drop out of school in order to manage it.
Our team is participating in the Great Human Race 2015 to raise $3,000 for Dreamkeepers. With your gift, we can continue to help students in crisis finish their educational goals.
