In 2007, I wanted to adopt a cat, and that's when I found Independent Animal Rescue.  I loved the passion for animals that the volunteers had. Not only did I adopt a few cats, but I started volunteering with the group as well. We have worked to rescue, spay/neuter, vaccinate, and foster hundreds of animals in the Durham area. I am unable to run in the Great Human Race, but I want to help raise funds for this group that has impacted my life so positively.

Last year, I raised money in memory of Babydoll, my sweetie who lost her battle with cancer in 2017. This year, I want to raise $200 in honor of all the kitties I have fostered over the years-- Jasper (now Casper), Jacob, Nanobot, and especially my sister's cats, Bailey (aka Kitty) and Mo (aka Sister). I appreciate any donations to help us continue our work of helping animals find their furever homes.
